Site Conditions & Challenges
Multiple roof faces meant careful string/branch design to keep production strong throughout the day. We trenched to the garage for its panel connection, and the home run on the house side was fished a long way through the basement to keep the install clean with minimal drywall impact.
Electrical Upgrades
To support the new solar and future loads, we upgraded the interior gear:
- Main Panel: 100A service with a 200A bus
- Garage Panel: Upgraded to 125A
- Service Entrance: Underground (left as-is for now)
Financial Overview
This project qualified for the Canada Greener Homes Grant and interest-free loan, and CEIP was available to help spread costs via property taxes. With a predicted 11,996 kWh in the first year — plus rodent guard to protect long-term performance — the system is set up for steady bill reductions for years to come. Solar Offset eligibility adds another path to improve ROI.
Customer Story
Another referral from a past solar customer, this homeowner wanted to reduce power costs and take advantage of current incentives. The split array design, panel upgrades, and a tidy finish checked all the boxes.
