This giveaway is part of our appearance at the Calgary Home Show and is open exclusively to local homeowners with detached, owner-occupied homes.
No gimmicks. No pressure. No obligation to buy.
Just a clear opportunity to explore solar with a trusted Calgary electrical and solar contractor.
Most giveaways are designed to grab attention.
This one is designed to create clarity.
At Panel Upgrade Experts, we install solar systems and electrical upgrades every week for Calgary homeowners who want to lower energy costs, increase independence, and future-proof their homes. We also know that many homeowners are curious but cautious. They want real information before making real decisions.
So instead of giving away branded merch, we decided to give away something that actually matters.
A real solar installation.
Installed on a real home.
By a local contractor who will still be here years from now.
This giveaway lets homeowners explore solar without pressure, without sales tactics, and without having to “figure it all out” on their own.
Panel Upgrade Experts is a Calgary-based electrical and solar contracting company focused on high-quality residential work.
We design and install solar systems, upgrade electrical panels, and help homeowners prepare their homes for the future. Our work is performed by licensed electricians, built to Canadian Electrical Code standards, and designed specifically for Calgary homes and climate conditions.
We are not a lead broker or a marketing company. We are the contractor doing the work.
That means when you enter this giveaway, you are dealing directly with the team responsible for design, permitting, installation, and long-term support.
Many of our customers come to us after speaking with multiple companies and wanting clearer answers. We focus on straightforward communication, realistic expectations, and doing the job properly the first time.
If solar is a good fit for your home, we will tell you. If it isn’t, we will tell you that too.
Solar is a long-term investment. The quality of the installation matters just as much as the equipment.
This giveaway is not about pushing solar on everyone. It is about working with homeowners who value quality, transparency, and local expertise.
Whether you win or not, our goal is that you leave this page with a clearer understanding of how solar actually works in Calgary homes.
If you would like to learn more about solar or electrical upgrades for your home, you are welcome to explore our services or ask questions at any time.
There is no obligation, and no pressure.
One Calgary homeowner will receive a professionally designed and installed solar system with a total value of up to $10,000.
The system size and configuration will be determined after the draw, based on:
• Roof orientation and usable surface area
• Shading and structural considerations
• Electrical service capacity and code requirements
This prize includes design, permitting, equipment, and installation. It does not include unrelated electrical upgrades or structural modifications that may be required for certain homes.
A $500 credit toward a residential electrical panel upgrade.
This can be applied toward:
• Solar readiness upgrades
• EV charger preparation
• Service upgrades for renovations or future electrical needs
A professional, in-home electrical inspection performed by a licensed electrician.
You will receive clear feedback on:
• Safety concerns
• Code compliance issues
• Upgrade opportunities for future planning
No scare tactics. Just straight answers.
This giveaway is intentionally limited to ensure it is fair, realistic, and installable.
You are eligible to enter if you:
• Own a detached home in Calgary
• Live in the home full-time (owner-occupied)
The solar prize requires that the home be suitable for installation. Suitability is determined after the draw and includes common-sense factors like roof condition, pitch, orientation, and electrical capacity.
If a selected home does not meet suitability requirements, a redraw will occur.
This protects both the homeowner and the integrity of the prize.
• Entries are collected during the campaign period
• One entrant is selected by random draw
• The selected entrant must correctly answer a skill-testing question, as required under Canadian law
• A site review is completed to confirm suitability
Secondary prize winners are selected separately and contacted directly.
Entering is simple:
1 – Complete the giveaway entry form (online or at the Calgary Home Show)
2 – Confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements
3 – Agree to be contacted regarding the giveaway and related services
That’s it.
There is no obligation to purchase anything, now or later.
Yes. The solar installation prize is valued up to $10,000 in value. There is no cash alternative, and no purchase is required to enter.
The solar prize is a defined system, not a cash credit.
The winning home will receive a solar installation consisting of:
8 solar modules, each with a minimum rated output of 405 watts (DC)
4 microinverters, each with a maximum AC output of 320 watts, paired to the modules as designed and approved for the site
This results in a system size of approximately 3.2 kW DC, with an AC output limited by the microinverters, which is standard practice in residential solar design.
If the selected home does not meet suitability requirements, a new winner will be drawn. There is no cost or obligation for the homeowner.
No. You may be contacted regarding the giveaway and relevant services, but there is no obligation to proceed with any work.
Home Show attendees receive priority visibility, but online entries are also accepted during the campaign period
If you are a Calgary homeowner who is curious about solar, electrical safety, or future energy independence, this giveaway is a simple way to participate.
Clear rules.
Real value.
Local contractor.
